With the recent reveal of the PlayStation 5, Sony showed us multiple trailers for upcoming games. More than two dozen new games were featured, with many being long-time fan favorites. Of course, we are all excited for upcoming new titles that feature interesting gameplay like “Stray,” where you play as a cat in the city, and “Goodbye Volcano High,” which is very visually appealing and features similar storytelling to that of “Life Is Strange.” But the games that are being talked about the most on social media and in the community are the same.
5. PlayStation 5’s “Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart”
“Ratchet and Clank” was a big title when it came out in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. Since then, they have released a total of five games, with the newest game being the 6th in the series. “Ratchet and Clank” takes place in space, which includes travel between planets. Ratchet, one of the main protagonists, is a lombax while Clank, his trusty sidekick, is a little robot that possesses a soul.
Insomniac Games hasn’t released too much information on the game, but they have released an official trailer. As expected, the graphics and art for this game look amazing and many long time fans can’t wait till this game gets released for the PlayStation 5.
4. PlayStation 5’s “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla”
The trailer for “Valhalla” came out before the release of the PlayStation 5. Many fans were instantly excited about this and looked for ways to pre-order the game.
This game is the 15th installment of the “Assassin’s Creed” series, and players will have the choice to play a male or female character introduced in “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.” Ubisoft has said that the male character will be a Viking warrior named Eivor, who is helping his people find a stable home. This game will feature more RPG elements, much like “Odyssey,” and will allow players to customize their character.
3. PlayStation 5’s “Spider-Man: Miles Morales”
It’s time for Miles Morales to take the stage. The PlayStation 4 exclusive for “Spider-Man” was a hit and showed players what a superhero game can and should feel like playing.
“Spider-Man: Miles Morales” is a stand-alone game centering around the most recent Spider-Man, Miles Morales, a young Afro-Latino boy. Insomniac Games has announced that the title will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive and that the combat will be similar to the game released in 2018.
2. PlayStation 5’s “Horizon: Forbidden West”
When watching the trailer for “Horizon: Forbidden West,” many fans’ jaws dropped. Prior to the release of the trailer, there had been speculation regarding a sequel but no confirmation from Guerrilla Games. As a direct sequel to “Horizon: Zero Dawn,” this game will take place in what used to be San Francisco, and it appears that Aloy will be exploring underwater as well.
After the end of the first game, and the DLC “Frozen Wilds,” we know that Aloy is making her way towards what used to be known as California. Some familiar faces are going to be in the sequel, as well as some new machines. The trailer for this game shows tropical beaches and deep blue oceans.
1. PlayStation 5’s “Resident Evil 8: Village”
“His story comes to a close” When this preview started, many people didn’t know what game it was. The dark background, the harsh weather, the ominous story. What game could this be? It’s, of course, the newest addition to the terrifying “Resident Evil” franchise, “Resident Evil 8: Village.” So many questions came with the release of this trailer, like whose story exactly is going to end? Why is Ethan, the protagonist of “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,” involved in this game?
Is that Mia we see in the trailer, and if so why is she involved again too? What exactly is happening, and why is Chris there? Does Chris shoot Mia? Does Chris shoot Ethan? Is Chris Redfield’s story coming to an end? Capcom knows how to keep fans on the edge of their seats, and we’re all excited to see how this plays out. This game will be an FPS, just like “Biohazard”, and will feature newly infected. If you haven’t seen this trailer yet, do us a favor.

The console looks sleek, slim, and futuristic. The games, all of them, look amazing including some new titles like “Project Athia” from Square Enix, “GhostWire: Tokyo” from Tango Gameworks, and “Pragmata” from Capcom.
The games are expected to arrive by 2021. The wait may feel like forever, but if you’re looking for something to play, a list of good indie games can be found here. We can’t wait to see what Sony has in store for us and the PlayStation 5!
